Rancho Dos Pueblos Wedding Photography | Missy and Matt

Considering that Melissa Claire Egan has been married nine different times on the various television soap operas that she has starred in over the years, it was not totally unexpected that the one thing she imagined for her real wedding to CBS Television executive, Matthew Katrosar, was that their wedding be incredibly perfect in every way. Mission accomplished!
Rancho Dos Pueblos was the most stunning backdrop for their elegant but rustic wedding affair coordinated by the lovely and talented Tonya Szele at Soigné Productions. The beauty of the Santa Barbara ocean cliffs combined with the rustic nature of the converted barn offered their guests the ultimate party, which gave them all the fun and elegance that the amazing couple wanted. The start of their awesome bridal party photo session was carefully coordinated by the couple to take place during their “first look.” Often times, this intimate moment is shared only by the couple, but Missy and Matt wanted their BFFs to witness the whole thing only inches away from their first moment together on their wedding day, a few hours before the official wedding ceremony began. It was so special to capture!
Other extraordinary vendors include our incredible new friend, Camellia Floral Design, as well as Enjoy Cupcakes, Seasons Catering, Simply Stunning Stationary, La Tavola Fine Linen, Town & Country, and Vintage Vignettes. And a special shout out to Film Foto Fusion for their video skills.
Finally, what a perfect use of the CBS eye logo on the custom cornhole/guest book game made for them by their friends !
Congrats to two amazing people. Many years of happiness to both of you.

Stephanie and Ross’s nuptials were a Hotel Bel-Air fairy tale wedding from start to finish. Every detail of the wedding was carefully planned and executed by Allyson Joseph, Katie Pincus, and the whole Bob Gail Events team alongside Hotel Bel Air Catering Manager, Michael Kossart. It was a wedding day visual masterpiece starting with Stephanie’s spectacular Monique Lhuillier wedding dress, which we hung from the side of the luxury hotel suite. The spectacular alter wall of flowers was reminiscent of Kanye and Kim’s BUT this one, so elegant and divine, and the white tulip centerpieces which magically hung from the ceiling of the ballroom, mesmerized all of the guests. The wedding was an absolute success.

The all-star line of Los Angeles wedding vendors included: Tara Dowburd-Luftman Make-up Therapy doing the VIP make-up services , Chris Robinson the Officiant Guy, Cake by Vanilla Bakeshop, Video by Elysium Productions  and décor by Floral Art , Peterson Lighting,  Revelry Event Designers, La Tavola, BBJ, Classic Party Rentals, Casa De Perrin, Form Décor. What an experience!!

Excerpt: Sometimes quirky, sometimes romantic, the wedding imagery created by husband-and-wife duo Cat and Adi Benner of Next Exit Photography always has a sense of authenticity that lets you into the quirks, sparks and personalities of each individual couple. Documentary-style photographer Adi met Cat through Cat’s Los Angeles wedding planning firm. The combination of the two’s ability to put couples at ease while catching intimate editorial moments has led Next Exit Photography to be recognized worldwide and become a five-time winner of the Best of The Knot Award.

It seems that 2014 has been the year of the wedding hashtag. More and more, couples are making it very easy for guests to share their wedding phone snapshots online by providing them with a hashtag that can be easily referenced in Instagram, facebook and twitter posts. And, we at Next Exit Photography love to play along! The more clever ### are often puns based on the couple’s name. Jessie and Nicole used #loveleedstheway at their recent wedding Saddlerock Ranch. An incredibly sweet couple with an incredibly sweet hashtag.

Although wedding hashtags are a super fun way to engage your guests at your wedding, it can present some drawbacks for both you and your professional photographer. With the pervasiveness of camera phones, “guest photographers” or “uncle bobs” have become a common occurrence at weddings. Just remember to encourage your guests to enjoy the wedding and to use their cameras sparingly.  Isn’t that why you hired us 😉 ? Besides, you don’t want every professional photograph that we capture of your friends to be labeled “Portrait of Friend with iPhone in Front of Their Face.”

We loved working with Kaci Mallat at XOXO Weddings and look forward to seeing her at the next fantastic wedding full of ###!!!

Next Exit Photography wins Best Wedding Photographer in Los Angeles

We are so proud, beyond honored, and honestly floored by our recent win of the 2014 California Wedding Day Magazine Best Wedding Photographer in Los Angeles Award.  After shooting weddings for 12 years, Adi and I feel that this award is certainly one of the most significant honors in our entire career.

At a celebration hosted last month by the magazine with over 50 sponsors and along with nearly 1,000 of the cities best wedding professionals, Adi and I took to the stage at the Wilshire Ebell Theater to accept our award in front of a roaring crowd. It was such a rush and seriously felt like winning an Oscar!! Los Angeles is well known for its extremely saturated and competitive wedding photography market, so taking top honors in the Los Angeles wedding photography category was and is a tremendous honor for us.

Being acknowledged by the prestigious California Wedding Day magazine is an additional validation of our dedication to our art as well as to our amazing clients.  We were nominated alongside three other photography teams during a three-week voting period open to the wedding industry and brides. Voters were able to nominate any photographer in the Los Angeles area and more than 5,000 votes were entered in the photography category. WOW!!

“I am so unbelievably blown away by the response that this award has garnered from our peers, friends and clients. It has given me a renewed faith in our approach to our business, art and the way that we treat our family of clients,” said Adi. “It’s not only an honor to be recognized by our peers but it is a testament to our incredible clients and partner wedding planners whose glowing testimonials and constant referrals have been the driving force behind our success for so many years. This award is certainly a highlight of my career,” agrees Cat.

Next Exit Photography is a Los Angeles based photography studio owned by husband and wife photography team, Adi and Cat Benner. They have been a Los Angeles wedding industry leader specializing in Weddings, Portraits, Mitzvahs, and Corporate Events since 2002.

Emily and Jesse | Casa Del Mar Wedding Photography

Hotel Casa del Mar Wedding Photography in its purest form. Next Exit Photography’s love affair with Casa del Mar is evident with every photograph in this series of wedding images. Of course, it always helps to have warm and adorable clients like Emily and Jesse, who flew in from Brooklyn, New York to celebrate their wedding with family and friends from around the globe. It was a very elegant and classy affair from start to finish. We especially love how this candle lit, fall themed November wedding included a huge assortment of orange and red flowers. Flawlessly coordinated by Casa Del Mar wedding planner expert, Terri Castillo, from Bellisimo Events, the day was perfect from start to finish.
Next Exit Photography is honored to be featured photographers on the recommended vendor list at both Casa Del Mar and Shutters on the Beach.  The staff at both hotels excel at organizing the perfect wedding day and every detail that they implement.  We love shooting Santa Monica beach weddings with the iconic Santa Monica Pier in the background and where the weather is near perfect every day of the year. The few rain drops before the ceremony never bothered this calm bride and groom! A little tip for those getting married on Santa Monica Beach: Don’t forget to make time in your wedding day schedule to take full advantage of photography on the sand. It takes about 10 minutes to actually get down to the water in each direction!
